RESEARCH CAPACITY BUILDING IN PRIMARY HEALTH CARE [PHCRED]
PHCRED Educational Activities for Research Capacity Building
The University of Sydney Department of General Practice Research Capacity Building Program aims to provide a range of options
for people to increase their research and evaluation skills.
For many practitioners the priority is to learn some of the skills required
to "find and apply research" in their daily practice.
To assist with this, we have developed an online course in Basic
Critical Thinking that aims to introduce some of these skills
in a clinically relevant manner. These topics can also be used for
face-to-face small group learning. For further information about
obtaining these small group resource kits please contact Dr Lyndal
Trevena Ph: 02 9818 1400 or email: lyndal@gp.med.usyd.edu.au.
For many division staff and practitioners involved in local projects
there is a need for improving measurement and evaluation skills
and an increasing range of workshops
and seminars are being run and promoted to facilitate this,
along with some innovative flexible learning
in population health (PHEC).
For those who wish to develop some of the skills required to become
an active and independent researcher we are working in partnership
with The University of Sydney School of Public Health to provide
both coursework and research
higher degree options for this purpose.
For further details about any of the above options please contact:
